As more Asian countries bet their future growth on innovations, cultivating sustainable startup ecosystems becomes an urgent and important task. Since the success of Silicon Valley, the role model startup hub, has been so closely related to Stanford University, it is natural to wonder what roles higher education institutions could play in catalyzing innovations in Asia.
Among the global startup hubs, Singapore, Shenzhen, and Israel are shining examples. These three hubs have distinct histories and cultures, but one thing in common is they all have vibrant innovation communities and strong higher education institutions.
In this dialogue, top university leaders from the three regions shared their challenges and opportunities.
